A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
	Dear colleagues, friends, and members of CENALOS.

     As many of you will be aware, The Fifth General Assembly of our Association, (just after the ADF Seminar), was held in Paris, where the President presented the new ER, CR, and YSGG Lasers ; on Stand F 83, Palais de Congres. The change of venue was necessary, because our Association has grown so fast, that our members are now spread over a geographical zone much larger than that of the, original, Nantes Region itself, which saw its early beginnings. The Association is now in regular contact with several International Groups, and may be considered as having reached the ripe old age of maturity. The latest copy of "The Assistant", that you are holding, will keep you up to date on new developments.

     The Laser World Is Moving - Consequently, it is in something of a stupor, that we received the news, this Summer, that the "Société Saltec", which has been a friend and partner from the start, in the Laser Dentistry Sector, since 1986, has ceased trading. We hope that it is only a short "Au Revoir", and that this company, which we have always counted among our friends, will be able to rejoin us in the near future. They will always find among us, an interested and attentive audience, ready to lend a sympathetic ear. Our thanks to them, for all the past years of close collaboration, in the marvellous domain of Laser Dentistry.

     The Laser World Is Moving - And it is with the greatest of pleasure, that we welcome the arrival in France, of a new American Machine, manufactured by a company in San Clemente, and imported by "W and H", who have assured us of the availability and manufacture, of the accessories, among which, are the marvellous new hand-held machines. This new Laser, is an Erbium-Chrome Yttrium-Scandium-Gallium Grenat, with a wavelength of 2.78µn. Its qualities will be presented more precisely, at the A.D.F. Seminar, and it should be available commercially, for the year 2000.
